How to Make a Magic Wallet

There is something wonderfully enchanting about magic in our home, and we are equally fond of Paper Toys. Red Ted (who was 7 at the time) had reached the perfect age to try out Magic Tricks and proudly demonstrate his magician talents to the family. Naturally, magic becomes even MORE EXCITING when you can create it yourself. This project was just the thing to keep Red Ted entertained. Today, we are sharing this speedy-to-make DIY Magic Wallet!! With only some card, paper, and tape, you will be ready to begin… Amaze your friends and relatives as you make money or business cards magically jump from one side to the other. How does this magical wallet function?! You will need to watch the video to discover the secret and learn how to create one yourself!

Magic Wallet DIY – supplies needed

  • Cardboard – 2 pieces measuring 10cm x 7cm (essentially a little larger than a credit or business card)
  • Paper – 4 paper strips, each 12cm x 1cm wide
  • Adhesive tape
  • Decorative paper or additional card for embellishment

Note – you can also create this magic wallet with ribbons, or construct it completely from duct tape – those versions will be sturdier than the paper-and-card designs, although using paper strips rather than ribbons is MUCH quicker and easier!
