Our Father’s Day paper plate wreath uses a complimentary printable pattern, one paper plate, and a few simple coloring materials.
Another option is to print the patterns onto colored paper, then trim and attach them to a paper plate!
A little ribbon or twine makes it simple to display.
Supplies Needed
- Coloring materials – markers, colored pencils, crayons, or even watercolors will work well.
- Paint – optional for decorating the paper plate
- Father’s Day templates – have the free printable templates sent to your email at the end of the post
- Ribbon or twine – optional for displaying the wreath

How to Make a Father’s Day Wreath
1. Download and print the free templates.
The free printable templates are available at the bottom of the post (inside the form showing a template preview).
2. Trim the templates.
3. Decorate the templates.
To cover the paper plate as pictured, you’ll need to color all six wreath templates. You’re welcome to use more or fewer!
4. Remove the middle of a paper plate.
First, cut out the paper plate’s center. Bending the plate slightly creates a starting slit, allowing you to insert the scissors and remove this section.
5. Decorate the paper plate with paint.
This step is optional, although portions of the paper plate may remain visible depending on how the templates are attached.
6. Attach the templates to the paper plate.
Adhere each template to the paper plate. If you prefer not to color six templates, leave more space between them and attach fewer pieces.
7. Fasten a twine loop to the back for hanging.
Secure the twine on the reverse side with tape so the wreath can hang.
