I truly think that a beautiful handmade card and breakfast in bed are often more than enough for Father’s Day or Mother’s Day.. however, a little present is always welcome too, isn’t it? You could also make these Father’s Day Gifts for Dad’s Birthday or give them to him at Christmas.. after all, finding presents doesn’t become any simpler during the year!
Below are some of my favourite Father’s Day ideas for children, discovered around the web – the gifts are still “traditional” – ranging from key chains to photo presents, but I hope these father’s day gifts feel a little unusual and fun, inspiring you and the kids to give them a try.
And remember, for very young children, a hand or footprint makes a wonderful keepsake present, as does a hand-drawn card featuring their first “Dad” scribbles. It needn’t be elaborate to be meaningful!

We’re also big fans of this Finger Painted Father’s Day Card!!! [Update: Claires Little Tots originally shared this card, but the website is no longer accessible. To create it, place the word “Dad” on paper with masking tape. Have the children cover it with fingerprints, then gently peel away the tape!]
