Create a Star Suncatcher for July 4th
Before beginning our Patriotic Suncatcher Star Craft, print the star template. You’ll also need red, white, and blue cardstock, red, blue, and white tissue paper, clear contact paper, and scissors.
Supplies for the Patriotic Suncatcher Star Craft
- Printable Star Template
- Cardstock – red, white, blue
- Tissue paper – red, white, blue
- Transparent contact paper
- Scissors
Step-by-Step Directions for the Patriotic Star Suncatcher
Start by printing the star template, then cut it out.
Use the template to trace a star onto red, white, or blue cardstock. Thicker cardstock works best.
Trim out the star along with the smaller star in the center.
Next, position the star on a sheet of clear contact paper and cut around its outline.
Prepare small pieces of red, white, and blue tissue paper.
Arrange the tissue paper pieces randomly across the contact paper.
Once the entire star is covered, place another sheet of clear contact paper over it. Cut around the edges again.
Display or hang it in a window to create a lovely patriotic decoration!
