Back to School Caterpillar Craft Step by Step Directions

First, print the caterpillar template, then cut out each piece.

Using cardstock in two colors of your choosing, trace and cut the strips for the caterpillar’s body loops. For this example, we chose yellow and orange.

Choose one yellow body strip, spread glue along a short edge, and join the edges to create a ring.

Then, slide an orange caterpillar body strip through the yellow ring. Put glue on its short edge and attach the ends to make two linked rings.

Repeat the process, joining the remaining body strips in alternating colors until the caterpillar’s body is finished.

After that, use the templates to cut out the caterpillar’s head, mouth, and two antennae from the cardstock color you selected.

Attach the two eyes to the face and glue the two antennae to the back. Draw a basic mouth using the red marker.

To finish, spread glue across the back of the face and attach it to the body, completing your back-to-school caterpillar.

Now you’re ready to count down the days!
