Here are a few hints you can share with children to help them unscramble the words:
- Separate the vowels from the consonants as you examine them
- Recall familiar words connected to St Patrick’s Day and write them down. Do any of the letters appear in the scrambled words?
- Rearranging the letters yourself may sometimes make the solution easier to spot. Write them in another order and check whether a familiar word appears.
- For younger children, list all the answer words on the page so they can use them as a reference.
