How to Use the St Patrick’s Day Counting Cards
Try these fun ideas with the cards!
- Shape your playdough into shamrocks or four-leaf clovers. Without a small cookie cutter, simply roll tiny playdough balls for counting instead.
- For the larger numbers (1 to 4), arrange the shamrocks on the counting cards.
- For the remaining cards, position them below to complete the matching pattern.
- Shuffle the cards, then have your child determine which card corresponds to the number of shamrocks you have.
- Count the shamrocks shown on the cards!
For an additional counting game, try these count-and-clip cards:
Use clothespins to mark the correct number of shamrocks on every card.
It also provides an enjoyable fine motor activity.
These activities can be combined as well. Ask children to clip the right number and then use playdough to make the matching number of shamrocks!
