Supplies You’ll Need
When choosing your eggs, look for either one large sticker that can serve as a distinctive silhouette or several smaller stickers that can be arranged to form one. We selected tiny hearts, flowers, and a vine sticker to wind around the egg. If you use larger stickers, be sure the shape will remain recognizable once the sticker is peeled away.
Smaller stickers are simpler to attach to the egg, so you’ll probably experience less dye bleeding with them. For that reason, I strongly suggest choosing small stickers and arranging them into a mosaic pattern!
Using stickers to create silhouettes on your eggs is such an easy project that everyone in the family can participate!

How to Create the Silhouette Easter Eggs
1. Begin by hard-boiling your eggs. Wash them with cool water, then leave them to dry. The eggs need to be completely dry so the stickers can stick properly.

2. Next, place your stickers on the eggs! Press firmly around every edge, making certain that no portion of the sticker is raised. Although we did this, a small amount of dye still seeped underneath, but we’re happy with how the design came out. 🙂 Experiment with several types of stickers, since some might adhere and stand out more effectively on the eggs.

3. Use the instructions included with your dye kit to color the eggs. We used a kit where the dye goes into a bag, although some kits use colored tablets that dissolve in water while the egg soaks. Be sure to follow the directions provided with your particular dye kit.
4. Wait until the eggs are fully dry before taking off the stickers. After they have dried, carefully peel the stickers away.

Your playful silhouette Easter Eggs are ready to enjoy! I’d love to see the unique designs and patterns you create with this straightforward decorating idea!
