Would you like to transform your turkey into a popcorn bag? This Popcorn Turkey Disguise is incredibly easy to create, and the finished project is extra playful! Children will enjoy scrunching tissue paper into popcorn shapes.

Our secret for creating realistic paper popcorn (say that 5 times quickly!) is combining white tissue paper with yellow tissue paper. The complete instructions are provided in the tutorial below!
Materials Needed
- Printable popcorn turkey pattern – find it at the end of the post
- Markers – (or paint pens, paint, etc) for coloring the turkey pattern
- White adhesive – for attaching the tissue paper popcorn to the paper

How to Create a Popcorn Turkey Disguise
1. Decorate the turkey.
To begin, print a blank turkey disguise pattern.
Color the turkey’s head with markers, paint, or whichever coloring tool you prefer. The rest will be hidden, so coloring the entire turkey is unnecessary.
2. Create the popcorn bag.
Trace the pattern (the template can be printed from the bottom of the post) onto red paper, then cut out the shape.
Use the pattern as a guide to cut white paper strips – we added 4 strips to our popcorn bag.
Attach the white paper strips to the red bag shape with glue. Let each end extend beyond the edges, since those portions will be trimmed away.
Cut off the strips that extend past the edges to create straight top and bottom lines.
Secure the popcorn bag onto the page, positioning it so the turkey’s head sticks out from the opening.
3. Prepare the popcorn.
Snip yellow and white tissue paper into approximate 2″ squares.
Place 1 white square on top of 1 yellow square.
Gently scrunch the squares into a loose sphere. Both colors should remain visible, making the tissue paper ball resemble popcorn! Continue until you have a generous mound of popcorn.
4. Attach the popcorn to the page.
Spread white glue across the turkey’s tail feathers, then place the tissue paper popcorn over them to hide the feathers.
Continue covering the tail feathers until only the turkey’s face can be seen.
After the glue dries, your turkey disguise is complete!
