Simple Shapes Leprechaun Craft
To create our Simple Shapes Leprechaun Craft, start by getting our free printable leprechaun template. You’ll also need cardstock, small googly eyes, a black pen, craft flowers, scissors, and a glue stick.
St. Patrick’s Day Leprechaun Craft Step by Step Directions
First, print the template and cut out each piece.
Use orange cardstock to trace the beard circle. Trace the face circle onto light skin-toned paper and the small nose circle onto pink paper. On black paper, trace the square and the longer rectangle for the hat. Finally, trace the last rectangle onto yellow cardstock. Cut out every piece.
Position the face circle close to the middle of a sheet of green cardstock and glue it down.
Next, slice the beard circle in half. Add a wavy border along the rounded edge of the half circle.
After that, remove a section from the center of the half circle. This creates the beard.
Attach the beard to the face with glue.
Now, assemble the hat pieces by gluing them together. Place the yellow belt near the lower edge of the square and glue it in place.
Afterward, glue the brim onto the hat.
Secure the hat in position so that its bottom edge touches the top of the beard.
Add the googly eyes and the small pink circle for the nose.
Use a black pen to draw a basic mouth.
As a finishing detail, we placed a tiny craft flower on the hat’s belt for an extra pop of charm.
