I’m thrilled to introduce another delightful Dr. Seuss Craft for Dr. Seuss Day and National Read Across America Day. This project is a handprint craft based on Put Me in the Zoo. Isn’t this Put Me in the Zoo Handprint Craft adorable!

To make our Put Me in the Zoo Handprint Craft, gather yellow cardstock, colorful small poms, a black sharpie, small googly eyes, scissors, and a glue stick.
Put Me in the Zoo Handprint Craft
Supplies needed:
- Yellow cardstock
- Colorful small poms
- Black sharpie
- Googly eyes, small
- Glue stick
- Scissors
Start by tracing a child’s hand onto the yellow paper.
Cut the handprint out.
Next, make a circle for the head, two small rounded triangles for the ears, and 2 rounded rectangles for the feet. Slice the rounded rectangles in half.
Attach a small black pom to the middle of the circle with glue.
Use the black marker to draw a mouth.
Place and glue the googly eyes, along with the ears.
Attach the face to the pinky side of the handprint. The thumb becomes the tail.
Add toe markings to each foot.
Next, glue the feet onto the fingertips.
To finish, glue colorful small poms in random spots across the handprint.
