This Easter bunny activity is perfect for toddlers. We used glue dots to hold our Free Printable Bunny Face Template onto a piece of cardstock. After that, simply dip a finger into the paint and start making dots! The only thing to remember is to keep a paper towel close by so you can clean your fingers between colors.
Easter Bunny Fingerprint Craft
Before creating your fingerprint bunnies, print out our bunny face template.
You’ll also require cardstock in any colors you prefer, acrylic paint in a variety of shades, glue dots, scissors, and a black sharpie.

Fingerprint Bunny Craft Step by Step Directions
First, print the bunny face template onto thick white cardstock. Alternatively, print it on standard paper, then trace the design and cut it from the heavy cardstock shade you selected. That is the method we used.
Select the color for your background. It’s best to avoid an extremely dark shade, although the decision is yours. Place a few glue dots on the template to fasten it in the middle of the cardstock. We added one glue dot to each ear and one more along the bottom.
Next, collect your paints and squeeze some onto a palette or paper plate. We chose many different colors, but you can use whichever shades you like.
Dip one finger into a paint color.
Start stamping dots around the bunny template.
Keep adding dots using each of the assorted colors.
Be certain that the template’s edges are entirely filled with dots.
Once the bunny has been decorated, gently pull the template upward and away from the wet paint.
To finish, use a black sharpie to sketch simple eyes, a bunny nose, a mouth, and whiskers.

- Pick your background shade. I suggest avoiding an especially dark color, but you can choose whatever you prefer.
- Position the template in the middle of the cardstock and hold it down with several glue dots. We placed one dot on each ear and an additional dot at the bottom.
- Next, bring out all the paints and squeeze them onto a palette or paper plate. We used numerous colors, though you are free to select your own combination.
- Afterward, dip a finger into one of the paint colors.
- Begin covering the area surrounding the bunny template with dots.
- Keep stamping dots with the remaining colors.
- Check that dots completely cover the outside edges of the template.
- After finishing the bunny, slowly lift the template away from the painted cardstock.
- Lastly, draw basic eyes, a bunny nose, a mouth, and whiskers with a black sharpie.
