Handprint Earth Day Craft
To begin making this Earth Day project, print our Earth template.
Gather black and skin-toned cardstock, white acrylic paint, markers, scissors, and a glue stick as well.
Galaxy Handprint Earth Craft Supplies Needed
- Earth Template
- Cardstock – black, skin tones
- White acrylic paint
- 2 paintbrushes
- Markers – greens, blues
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Handprint Earth Craft Step by Step Directions
First, gather a black piece of cardstock, white paint, and two paintbrushes.
Cover one paintbrush with white paint. With the second brush, strike the back of the loaded brush to scatter white paint over the black cardstock. Allow the paint to dry thoroughly.
As the paint dries, outline your hands onto skin-toned cardstock.
Trim out the handprints, making two in total.
Next, print the Earth template and add color to it.
After coloring the template, cut it out.
Next, attach a handprint to each side of the Earth.
Position the handprints holding Earth in the middle of the black cardstock covered with paint splatters, then glue them in place.

Instructions
- Start by preparing a black sheet of cardstock, white paint, and two paintbrushes.
- Apply white paint to one paintbrush. Take the other brush and tap the loaded brush from behind, scattering white paint over the black cardstock.
- Give the paint time to dry fully.
- While waiting for the paint to dry, outline your handprints on skin-toned cardstock.
- Cut out both handprints.
- After that, print the Earth template and color it.
- When the coloring is finished, cut out the Earth.
- Attach one handprint to each side of the Earth.
- Place and glue the handprints holding Earth in the center of the paint-splattered black cardstock.
Notes
Be sure to cover your table and yourself with something protective, since splattering paint can become messy.
