Mother’s Day Flower Card Craft

For our Mother’s Day flower cards, gather brown cardstock, tissue paper in assorted colors, a green marker, glue, and scissors.

Tissue Paper Flower Card Craft Supplies Needed

  • Brown cardstock
  • Tissue paper – assorted colors
  • Green marker
  • Glue
  • Scissors

Mother’s Day Flowers Craft Step by Step Directions

Start by taking one complete sheet of brown cardstock.

Create a fold down the middle of the brown cardstock.

Next, prepare 3 tissue paper squares, using a different color for each one. Repeat this process 3 times to make 3 flowers.

Transform the tissue paper squares into circles. Exact measurements aren’t necessary, and there’s no required size since they’ll be bunched up later, though a circle measuring approximately 3-4″ should work well.

Once you have 9 tissue paper circles prepared for each card, place 3 small dots of glue on the front of the brown cardstock wherever you want the flowers positioned.

Pinch and gather one tissue paper circle at its center. There isn’t really a more fitting way to describe it—you’ll slightly twist, collect, and bunch the paper. Set the tissue paper onto the glue.

Do the same with each of the 3 flowers.

Afterward, add another dot of glue to the middle of the first tissue paper layer, bunch up a second tissue paper circle, and position it over the top.

Repeat these steps for each of the 3 flowers, adding 3 tissue paper layers to every flower.

Once every flower is complete, draw stems and several leaves with a green marker.

Inside the card, add your cheerful Happy Mother’s Day greeting.

What a lovely Mother’s Day card!
