Nature Leaf Turkey Step by Step Directions
First, head outside and collect a generous assortment of autumn leaves. Select the cardstock color you’d like to use as the background.
For the turkey’s feathers, start attaching the leaves to the cardstock in a rainbow-like arrangement. We left the stems on the leaves for this project, though you may trim them off if you wish.
Keep adding leaves until your turkey’s feathers look full and complete. Allow the adhesive to dry.
Next, print the turkey template and trim out each piece. Trace the circles onto brown cardstock and cut them out. Trace the feet and beak onto yellow cardstock, then cut them out. Cut the wattle from the red cardstock.
Attach the circles to the leaves to create the turkey’s central body.
Stick on the googly eyes. Then, glue the beak and wattle into place.
To finish this delightful Thanksgiving turkey craft, glue the feet along the bottom of the larger circle. Best of all, this project gives you a great reason to enjoy the crisp fall air and explore outdoors!
