Handprint Bee Craft

You’ll be delighted by this adorable Handprint Bee Craft spring project for kids! It’s incredibly simple to create, and this bee makes a wonderful spring activity featuring those sweet little handprints while also serving as a lovely seasonal keepsake

This bee project would also go perfectly with a lesson about bees, which are among the planet’s most essential pollinators for food crops. I’ll admit that bees aren’t exactly my favorite creatures. Honestly, they make me quite nervous. Still, even I understand how important bees are to our world.

For an even simpler spring bee activity, we’ve included a Free Printable Bee Template for the remaining parts. Just trace and cut out a handprint, then use the template to cut the other pieces and finish your charming spring bee craft!

Handprint Bee Spring Craft

For this simple bee project, gather our bee template, along with yellow and white cardstock, black and red markers, small googly eyes, a glue stick, and scissors.

Supplies Needed for Bee Handprint Craft

Step-by-Step Directions for Spring Bee Craft

First, print the bee template onto white cardstock.

Cut out each piece. The bee’s lines are already black, and the wings are white.

Next, trace a handprint onto yellow cardstock and cut it out.

After that, attach the curved strip to the palm section of the handprint cutout with glue.

Adhere the remaining strips to the finger sections of the handprint design.

With scissors, cut away any extra strips between the fingers and along the handprint’s outer edges.

Next, outline the wings with a sharpie. We chose white cardstock for ours, though blue cardstock works nicely, too.

Position and glue the wing pieces onto the upper part of the handprint bee design.

In the same way, attach the antenna pieces to the upper side.

Place googly eyes on the open area of the palm section and glue them down.

To finish this cute handprint bee, use sharpies to add a basic mouth and rosy cheek spots.
