We had even more fun using cupcake liners while creating this charming Cupcake Liner Fox Craft. This may be the sweetest fox cupcake liner project, if not the cutest fox craft overall. We’ve made several adorable fox crafts before, too. Either way, it’s absolutely precious!
To create the fox, each of the three orange cupcake liners requires a separate fold. None of these folds is challenging. Still, I’d likely try this activity with elementary-aged children and older, since it might be somewhat detailed for very young kids. It’s definitely worth the effort, though!
Fall Cupcake Liner Fox Craft
For our foxy cupcake liner project, you’ll need black cardstock along with a background color of your choice, orange cupcake liners, a ⅝” circle paper punch, small googly eyes, scissors, and a glue stick.
Fox Cupcake Liner Craft Supplies Needed
Fall Fox Craft Step by Step Directions
First, select the cardstock color you’d like to use for the background.
We picked green and sliced ours in half, although this step is completely optional.
Next, collect 3 orange cupcake liners. Fold the sides of one liner inward to create the fox’s body.
After that, fold the sides of a second cupcake liner inward toward a point to form the face.
For the tail liner, fold the cupcake liner in half first. Then, shape it into something resembling a triangle.
Open the cupcake liner and cut away only half of the upper tip so the white underside becomes visible. Fold the tail again and remove any extra material from the side. Alternatively, you can skip the cutting and simply use a white paint marker.
Next, attach the tail to the green cardstock at a slight angle.
Adhere the body-shaped cupcake liner over the tail.
Then, place the face on top of the body shape, tilting it to the side as well.
Using the piece removed from the tail, cut out two tiny triangles to serve as ears. Glue them into position and attach the googly eyes.
To finish your sweet fall fox craft, punch a circle from black cardstock with the ⅝” paper punch. Glue it onto the pointed end of the face as the nose. So adorable!
