Cupcake Liner Snowman Craft

This project combines a cupcake liner activity with fingerprint art to create one of the most delightful winter crafts for children. Our Cupcake Liner Snowman Craft is absolutely adorable, from his coal-like buttons all the way to the end of his carrot nose.

To keep this snowman project especially simple, we created his body using white cupcake liners. Their circular shape is already prepared and ready to use. All that remains are a few finishing details, including an orange triangular carrot nose, a warm scarf, and black-marker coal buttons.

To make the snowy setting even more charming, add fingerprint snow around the snowman. Dip one finger into white paint and stamp fingerprints to create flakes falling all around him as he gazes upward and watches them land on his nose.

Winter Snowman Cupcake Liner Fingerprint Craft

For this winter snowman activity, gather white cupcake liners, cardstock in orange plus any colors you prefer, white acrylic paint, markers in black and orange, scissors, and a glue stick.

Snowman Cupcake Liner Craft Supplies Needed

• White cupcake liners
• White acrylic paint
• Cardstock – orange, choice of colors
• Markers – black, orange
• Scissors
• Glue stick

Fingerprint Snowman Craft Step by Step Directions

Start by selecting the cardstock color for your background. Blue works wonderfully, and purple is another lovely option.

Next, gather two white cupcake liners. Slice one of them into two equal halves.

Attach one cupcake-liner half with glue along the lower edge of the cardstock.

Place and glue the complete white cupcake liner over the half liner, allowing them to overlap.

Next, create the scarf by cutting a narrow strip from cardstock in another color. Trim it so it matches the width of the neck. You’ll also need two shorter pieces from that same cardstock.

Glue the strip across the snowman’s neck, right where the two cupcake liners overlap. Attach the remaining two pieces to the strip to form the scarf ends.

After that, cut a triangle from orange cardstock and glue it near the top of the snowman, angling it so he appears to be looking upward at the falling snow.

With a black marker, draw small black dots for the eyes and mouth.

Complete the snowman by adding a few coal buttons with the black marker. Then, use the orange marker to add carrot-like lines to the orange triangle.

For the final touches, bring out the white paint and dip one finger into it.

Start stamping fingerprints around the snowman to create the falling snow.

Keep adding fingerprint snow until your wintry scene looks finished. Allow the paint to dry thoroughly, then hang up your creation and proudly display this adorable winter snowman craft.
