Because this is Earth Day bingo, we suggest adding an eco-friendly element to the activity. Alternatively, keep the cards and pass them along to a friend when you finish!
How To Prepare An Earth Day Bingo Game
- Begin by printing the calling card and bingo cards(the free printable link is below).
- Trim the calling cards and put them into a bowl or jar for drawing.
- Cut out the bingo cards.Give one bingo card to each player. If there are more than 10 players, divide the children into small groups so they can play together.
- Choose candy or non-candy objects for markers.Once an image is called, the player covers that image with a marker.
- When announcing the images– describe the picture or hold up the card. Some images appear more than once in various colors. Saying “red heart” or “an earth shaped in a heart,” or showing the selected card to the children, can help them locate it on their bingo card.
- Play for a line (5 in a row) or for a complete card.The first player to make a line calls out “Bingo!”. If you have additional prizes, continue playing for more lines afterward. Since there are 30 calling cards, a full card could lead to several winners at once, depending on the number of players. For this reason, we suggest mainly playing for lines. Shuffle the cards and begin another round once a few lines have been completed.
How Can I Play With a Larger Group?
The set contains 10 different cards. When more than 10 people are playing, divide them into small groups of 2-3 players. Another option is to distribute matching cards, allowing multiple people to win at once.
