What causes rain?
Rain forms as a component of Earth’s water cycle. Water on the planet’s surface turns into vapor and moves upward into the atmosphere. Once the droplets become cooler, they gather together and form clouds. When clouds become filled with liquid water, they produce rain or snow…and the process begins again.
Don’t allow rainy weather to keep you and your children indoors. Head outside as a family, whether you bring an umbrella or not. Splash through puddles, search for a rainbow’s end if one appears overhead, and watch how birds and animals behave during the rain.

Steps for creating a spring spinner
Begin by printing the spinner and cover onto white cardstock, then cut out both pieces.
Add color to the cover and spinner.
Create an opening in the center of the cover with a hole punch. (at the indicated spot)
Make a hole at the center of the spinner using a pencil. (at the indicated spot)
Secure the spinner and cover together using a paper fastener.
