Adorable Handprint Art for Mom

Below is a mix of simple handprint craft projects and delightful handprint gifts!

  • A lovely old craft that we made many moons ago: a wonderfully simple Handprint Flower Bouquet created with a homemade finger paint recipe
  • Handprint Flower pot DIY by A Little Pinch of Perfect – a charming combination of handprint flowers arranged in paper flower pots. So sweet! These would make enjoyable classroom projects and are perfect for kindergarteners or preschoolers!
  • Handprint Dish – read all about it on Mama Papa Bubba – this makes such a precious Mother’s Day Gift to create and treasure!
  • Handprint Keyring Charm – as you know, we adore all kinds of Handprint Mother’s Day Gifts, and this lovely idea by Plucking Daisies is another wonderful option – UPDATE: this website is unfortunately no longer available. They combine a shrinky dink handprint with a letter charm they purchased to create a beautiful Mother’s Day handprint gift. Craft Box Girls has a tutorial for shrinky dink handprints here.
  • Since we’re such big fans of bookmarks, here are some adorable handprint bookmarks by Darice [UPDATE: this blogpost is no longer active, but if you look at the lead images above, you simply cut out a cardboard handprint, attach it to a jumbo craft stick, and add a little leaf. Really easy and incredibly cute!] – always a charming present for Mom, grandparents or Dad!

Fun with Footprint Art for Mother’s Day Crafts

We also have some adorable footprint crafts – these are particularly suitable for babies and very young children, who often struggle not to “clench” their hand into a fist. That makes footprint art and crafts perfect for these little ones.

  • Heart Footprints created from salt dough – wonderfully inexpensive and beautiful
  • Footprint bookmarks – we once made a set for Father’s Day, and I’m so pleased we did, because I (!) ended up using them too. Their baby feet were so tiny and precious. Say aaaah. These are definitely a must for any Mother’s Day gift project, or of course for Dad as well!
  • Adorable Footprint Butterfly Pot – what a beautiful garden gift from Mamma Papa Bubba – I think this footprint butterfly would also make a fantastic butterfly handprint card, don’t you? So sweet!
  • Gorgeous Footprint Flowers – such a lovely idea by Tippy Toe Crafts
