Each year, I host a special “guest post” series here on Red Ted Art called 31 Days of Love! The purpose is to spread love and help you discover wonderful new blogs from across the web. So every year, I don’t share only 3-4 fresh Valentine’s Day Crafts with you.. instead, you can find around 31 new Valentine’s Day Crafts for Kids – plenty of entertaining projects to explore!! There are lots of ideas for appreciating your mom and friends! It creates quite a collection of ideas.. and although I refresh all my Valentine’s Day Crafts roundups (see the collection list below).
I especially enjoy putting together this roundup: Classroom Valentines Craft Ideas! It is a varied selection of projects to make in the classroom, which you can easily browse according to the supplies and time available. Most of today’s crafts rely on everyday materials (paper, paper plates, cardboard, scissors and glue), though there are also a few extra DIY projects included if you would like to try something a little more adventurous!

For me, Paper Valentine’s Day Crafts are the best choice for classroom Valentine’s activities – they are affordable and adaptable. The kids can practice following directions, cutting shapes and folding paper to transform this simple material into a charming Valentine’s classroom gift or project! There is also a separate Valentine’s Day Card-making section below! This part focuses more on crafts first!
What a Hoot – Valentine’s Owl Corner Bookmarks – a Valentine’s roundup simply would not be complete without a new Corner Bookmark from, well, me. We really enjoy making bookmarks.. and I think these sweet owls would be an excellent classroom project.. don’t you? I adore all the tiny heart-shaped details on the Valentine Owls. We understand how hectic life as a teacher can be, so having a few ready-to-use printables is always helpful! This printable collection of Valentine’s Day Ideas is a little more varied.. featuring a fantastic STEAM project (you light up my life!), along with adorable printables to pair with friendship bracelets.

Every child’s valentine deserves a BFF. Let’s enjoy some conversation hearts with these BFF Conversation Heart Buddies (including a free printable) from Barley & Birch – my daughter immediately loved them and couldn’t wait to make her own. Amanda’s website feels like a gorgeous crafty Instagram feed – but best of all, the projects are not only BEAUTIFUL, they are also DO-able!

Kids will love creating this beautiful art project, which has a wonderfully ZEN-like feel! Start with the free Heart Art Printable, then mix black glue with watercolours to create this lovely activity, especially suitable for older students.

Valentine’s Climber: Love you to the moon and back! Oh my—your little ones can climb all the way to the moon with this adorable craft from Lotta Magazine. It would also make a fantastic STEAM Valentine’s project, don’t you think?

This free printable features a little cupid with plenty of possible uses. Add the Cupid Printable to a Valentine’s treat, use it as a bookmark or Valentine’s card, or display it as classroom décor! It is also a delightful way to hand out chocolate.

Toilet Paper Roll Valentines are truly hard to beat. Kindergarteners and younger children will have a wonderful time making these playful Toilet Paper Roll Love Bugs! What’s not to adore?

Paper Plate Valentine’s crafts remain a favourite because paper plates are affordable and unexpectedly enjoyable to use. They are biodegradable too, making them an added bonus!

Top Valentine’s Cards for friends and classmates
We have a HUGE collection of Valentine’s Day Cards for children to create! Below are three favourites for the classroom, and each includes optional worksheets to make the process a little easier.

This is one of our numerous Valentine’s Day Pop Up cards to create with children, and we especially love the simple W Pop Up mechanism. It makes such an adorable Bear Pop Up Card for Valentine’s Day. (Printable templates are available, though they are optional!).

Invite the children to have a go at origami and transform their creation into a Valentine’s Day Card. This example says “I love you Whaley Much”. As before, the Origami Valentine’s Day Card can be made in class using the helpful video and step-by-step photos, or you can download the printable worksheets.

Pop Up Heart Cards feature another wonderfully inventive method for creating pop up cards that children will adore and be able to make themselves. Once again, you can use the straightforward directions or download the classroom worksheets and templates.

These friendship rocks are incredibly cute! Children of every age will LOVE creating them, and they are also wonderful gifts. They are simple, enjoyable, and absolutely adorable!

Create a Valentine’s Day Mailbox to attach to the back of a school chair, or make a classroom mailbox where the cards can be placed later. We love the marble painting technique used for this design! It is ideal preparation for a classroom Valentine’s party.
