Making 3d Paper Beetles

1. Use a marker to add stripes, swirls, dots, or another design to the colored paper.

Cut your circles

2. With the 2-inch (5-cm) template, trace and cut two circles from the patterned paper. Next, use the same template to cut two circles from the black paper. These pieces will form the beetle’s body.

3. Bend each paper circle in half.

fold the paper circle in half and make a body

4. Position one black circle over the other and glue them together so they overlap halfway.

Glue wins in place

5. Spread glue over one folded colored circle, then attach it to the body. Do the same with the second circle.

add fun faces

6. Place two googly eye stickers onto the head.

Get Creative: Glue a paper loop beneath the beetle to turn it into a stylish ring!
