Steps for Making the Love Bug Crafts
1. Print the templates.
Have the templates sent to you at the end of the post. If you want to color directly on the design, we suggest printing it on white cardstock. When tracing the shapes onto construction paper, standard paper is suitable as well.

2. Cut out the templates.
Several templates offer different mouth choices, and every design includes eyes.

3. Decorate the templates.
Choose any coloring material you like for the templates – paint, markers, crayons, or colored pencils.
Another option is to trace the designs onto construction paper.

4. Put the templates together.
Attach the legs, head, hearts, mouth, and antennae with a glue stick.

5. Attach the googly eyes.
Apply tacky glue or hot glue, with adult help, to secure the googly eyes. This step is optional because printable eyes are also available to attach.

6. Create the cheeks.
Place the back of a pencil or paintbrush into pink paint, then dab it beside the mouth to form the cheeks.

Children of every age can enjoy these love bug crafts! With younger children, grown-ups can cut out the templates while kids handle the coloring and gluing.
