Need a refreshing summer dessert? This popsicle recipe is just right! Made with natural ingredients, it requires only fruit, yogurt and honey. Children will also enjoy its vibrant red, white and blue layers!

Ingredients Required for Patriotic Popsicles
Gather the following:
- Fruit – strawberries and blueberries
- Unflavored Yogurt
- Honey *Note: do not give honey to babies younger than one year.
- Popsicle Mold (we used one that produced 10 popsicles)
Is a different type of yogurt okay?
Absolutely! With vanilla yogurt, you can leave out the honey. Greek yogurt works well too.
What quantity of popsicles will this recipe yield?
Using a regular-sized popsicle mold, we made 10 popsicles. With a mold designed for thicker popsicles, the yield may be closer to 6.
What is the freezing time?
After placing in each layer, freeze for 6 hours, or let them set overnight until fully firm.

How to Prepare Red, White and Blue Popsicles

-
In a compact food processor, briefly blend the blueberries. If the mixture appears too purple, stir in 1-2 drops of blue food coloring (optional).
-
Spoon 2 tbsp of blueberry puree into the base of every mold. Freeze for approximately 30 minutes, or until firm.
-
Then, place the yogurt in a small dish and stir in the honey. Blend until combined.
-
Pour roughly 2 tbsp of yogurt into each mold over the blueberry layer, then return to the freezer for 30 minutes or until set.
-
Put the strawberries in the food processor and pulse until pureed.
-
Spread 2 tbsp of strawberry puree over the yogurt layer. Insert the popsicle sticks in the middle, then freeze for 30 minutes or until solid.
-
Continue layering until all the ingredients are used and the mold is full. Note: larger molds may produce fewer popsicles.
