AND there’s even more. Guests can enjoy live music, tasty drinks, and food trucks.
What to Know About the Vintage Bazaar New England
Four times each year, the Vintage Bazaar New England takes place, and truthfully, every event has a character of its own. That’s why it helps to know what to expect before arriving.
The Spring and Winter events take place indoors at different locations, giving them a somewhat cozier atmosphere. One detail I especially enjoy: they begin on Friday afternoon at 1 pm. And believe me, that’s the golden hour. If your goal is to discover vintage treasures (rather than only handmade goods), Friday afternoon is the ideal time to attend. Getting first choice makes all the difference.
The Summer and Fall events head outdoors to expansive farms, where vendors arrange their displays beneath tents across wide-open grounds. These markets are bigger, featuring more sellers, nearby food trucks, and live music that adds to the celebratory mood. If you’re bringing along someone who isn’t as passionate about vintage shopping as you are (waving to husbands everywhere), the outdoor events make an excellent introduction. There’s plenty to enjoy, so everyone can have fun.
At every event, you’ll encounter a combination of authentic vintage sellers and handmade creators: imagine handcrafted candles, regional artwork, jewelry, some clothing, and food vendors all together. Many of the same vendors return from one season to the next (and quite a few have become friends I’m always happy to see!), while new sellers and discoveries are continually added. You can never be completely sure what you’ll take home, and that’s really part of the adventure!

Located at Crescent Farm in Haverhill, MA, this delightful gathering is perfect for anyone who appreciates timeless items with a story behind them. I’ve attended before, and believe me—you’ll head home inspired (and perhaps with a vehicle packed full of treasures!). Here’s what you can look forward to…
The opening event of Vintage Bazaar New England’s summer series took place last weekend. Throughout the year, the Vintage Bazaar hosts markets at a variety of indoor and outdoor locations. For this edition, the bazaar was held at Kimball Farm in Haverhill, MA. (which is also the town where I was raised!) The farm made an ideal outdoor venue: Lovely views, a glimpse of the river, and lots of available parking.
Today I’m sharing a small selection of the vendor displays I explored at the bazaar!

The Wildflower Truck
The very first thing to grab my attention as we entered the bazaar was the most adorable traveling flower shop!
The company, The Wildflower Truck , operates from the back of a 1968 VW truck. After browsing the bazaar, you can create a custom bouquet to bring home. The truck is also available for private celebrations and events throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island…how fun would that be!!
Wild Roots
One enjoyable feature of the bazaar was the group of vendors offering houseplants. Since I’m a devoted plant lover, I was completely into it!! I’m not sure about you, but I can admire plants for hours…so don’t take me to the nursery if you expect a speedy visit… (my husband knows exactly what I mean!!)
The most charming plant seller was the WIld Roots Plant Truck. To begin with, I was seriously jealous of their String of Pearls! Two spectacular plants were suspended beneath the awning. This plant is my ultimate gardening nemesis…I simply cannot keep one thriving, despite all my efforts (like8 occasions!)!!
Stepping inside the truck feels like entering a stylish boho lounge! I’m constantly amazed by the imaginative ways people have been developing their small business ideas over the last several years!
Swampscot River Antique & Salvage
Swampscot River ranks among my favorite vendors, and he consistently carries an excellent selection of vintage buckets, watering cans, boxes, and tubs.
A few years back, one of my favorite bazaar finds was a clammer’s basket. (They’re visible on the upper shelf.) I’ve used it several times on my front porch for displaying plants and decorative items.
This summer, I placed a Boston fern inside the basket and set it atop an aged farm crate. The previous summer, I packed it with shells, driftwood, and several other seaside accents.
Lee & Co.
Lee from Lee & Co. is always a favorite among visitors at the Vintage Bazaar events. (Her Instagram and Facebook links are included here too.)
Lee has an amazing talent for spotting unique treasures! Her display always features a relaxed vintage boho feel along with intriguing seasonal finds. She recently opened a brick-and-mortar shop in Amesbury, MA, meaning you no longer need to wait for a bazaar to browse her goods!

My first major shabby farmhouse acquisition, made years ago, came from Lee: a large white hutch painted with chalk paint. It has appeared in several photos here, and it now sits in my studio holding my materials. Needless to say, I never walk away from her booth without something!
Van Claus Designs
A visit to the Vintage Bazaar wouldn’t be complete without browsingVan Claus Designs—one of those booths youhaveto check out ‘for only a minute’… before realizing that 20 minutes have somehow passed! Positioned close to the entrance, this treasure-filled space overflows withwonderful vintage discoveries, including unusual kitchenware and cozy farmhouse décor.
Exploring her constantly refreshed assortment is part of the excitement—you could find a collection of vintage tumblers, a wonderfully worn picture frame, or a unique treasure you never realized you needed. (A little warning: Her talent for nostalgia isalmost dangerouslyimpressive!)
Knotty Totty Designs
Would you believe those stunning blossoms are crafted from WOOD???!!! I certainly couldn’t believe it! That is true creativity. Knotty Totty Designs is another small, woman-owned business from Massachusetts. Kelly creates not only wooden flower magnets but also breathtaking wood-flower bouquets! Even my husband found them fascinating!
The Chippie Hippie
The Chippie Hippie booth was absolutely overflowing…I mean bursting with incredible vintage treasures! I had to make two passes because I overlooked so many items the first time around.
There were furnishings, linens, and nearly every other desirable vintage item imaginable!! If my home had the space, I would have happily taken that bird cage!!
The standout item for me was a tower made from beautifully weathered terra cotta pots. What a clever concept! I may try making a smaller version with an old coffee cup stand—the kind that once displayed all those Rae Dunn mugs back in the day!!
It’s amusing because we tend to imagine that life was so cheerful and pure long ago, or at leastI certainly did! Then you flip through an old newspaper and discover some of the incredibly scandalous things that were happening!! Last year, while I was visiting Waco, there was a similarly enormous newspaper book on the foyer table, and believe me, it contained some truly terrible stories!! It sounded just like an episode of Dateline!! You can read about my Waco getaway and book one of the Magnolia vacation homes if you adore Joanna as much as I do—you simply must see how she styled the estate where we stayed…absolutely amazing!!
Plum Island Drift
A standout attraction at the Haverhill Vintage Bazaar is meeting creative makers such asPlum Island Drift, a New England studio that produces stunning driftwood art for the walls. Established by Eric Steeves, the collection honors the untamed charm of aged wood, turning it into sculptures inspired by the coast. Since every item is distinct, shaped by the Atlantic’s currents and finished by hand to showcase its organic grain, these works are ideal for bringing a peaceful seaside feel to farmhouse, cottage, or contemporary spaces.
Here’s a fun detail: The driftwood comes responsibly from nearby beaches, so each piece feels like a small tribute to New England’s coast. Make sure to stop by their booth (or browse online atplumislanddrift.com) to pick up a truly unique statement accent!
Fleurish Home & Garden
Plant enthusiasts (and anyone who simply enjoys thethoughtof becoming one!) should be sure to visitFleurish Home and Gardenat the Vintage Bazaar. This delightful vendor offers an abundance of vibrant seasonal flowers, refined everlasting botanicals, and vintage-style decor that effortlessly combines the garden with the gallery. Fleurish’s thoughtfully selected assortment brings the wonder of nature inside. (A little tip: Their displays areincrediblyInstagram-worthy!)
A Few Other Highlights
Friends, there’s no way I could feature all 140 vendors here…I simply wanted to offer you a glimpse of what awaits at an upcoming Vintage Bazaar New England event. Everyone can find something appealing, and even my husband enjoyed browsing alongside me!
I brought home one of the petite metal topiaries…and I’ve been regretting not purchasing a pair!! I’m convinced the scorching weather was to blame…I just wasn’t thinking clearly!!
It looks absolutely lovely in my garden as well!! I moved a few morning glories so they could climb the topiary.
The ingenuity of these makers never fails to amaze me! The Scrapped and Found booth featured wonderfully imaginative creations assembled from old cans and assorted pieces.
I can’t speak for the entire country, but here in New England we’re crazy about all things coastal! You’ll spot old buoys attached to fences and houses…not only at seaside cottages.

A Note of Appreciation to Vintage Bazaar New England
While attending the bazaar, I enjoyed connecting with fellow New England bloggers and creatives at a “Cocktails with Creators” gathering organized by Vintage Bazaar New England founder Devon Chouinard.
It was such a pleasure to finally meet several women I had befriended virtually through Instagram, along with getting acquainted with a few new faces!
They served us the most delicious charcuterie cups! It’s a wonderful concept to recreate for your next celebration. For those nearby, The Charcuterie + Bar offers a variety of menu selections and caters special events as well.
They were incredibly thoughtful to send us home with swag bags packed with treats from the bazaar vendors! I would have been absolutely thrilled with only the tote bag (it will carry all my Fall bazaar finds!!) so thank you once again!!
