We’ve been having so much fun creating all kinds of cupcake liner crafts lately, and every one has been a joy to make. But when it comes to pure fun, I think this Cupcake Liner Monster Craft really steals the show. Do monsters enjoy cake? Who doesn’t enjoy cake? I certainly do!
This Halloween monster project is bright, easy to make, and absolutely adorable. It’s incredible to see what a few googly eyes can do to a cupcake liner. Add two eyes, three eyes, or even four—whatever you like. Attach the finished liner to a jumbo craft stick, and you have an entertaining Halloween puppet craft, too.

For these cupcake liner creatures, gather cupcake liners in assorted colors and sizes of googly eyes, along with a white paint pen, jumbo craft sticks, and a glue stick.
Supplies for the Cupcake Liner Monster Craft
Easy Step-by-Step Monster Craft Instructions
Start by collecting brightly colored cupcake liners. Each monster will require two cupcake liners.
You’ll also need jumbo craft sticks.
Next, press the cupcake liners flat.
Using the white paint pen, sketch a monster mouth on one cupcake liner.
After that, attach the jumbo craft stick to the liner’s backside with glue.
Place the second cupcake liner behind the front one and glue it in position, enclosing the craft stick between the two liners.
To finish, stick on the googly eyes. Choose one oversized eye, several eyes, or a mix of different sizes and amounts. Then keep creating more monsters! We used nearly every cupcake liner color in our collection because making them is so entertaining.

- Then, flatten each cupcake liner.
- Draw a monster mouth on one liner using the white paint pen.
- Next, glue the jumbo craft stick onto the back of the cupcake liner.
- Attach the second cupcake liner behind the first one, trapping the craft stick between them.
- Finish by adding googly eyes. Use one big eye, several eyes, or googly eyes in assorted sizes and quantities.
- What’s next? Create even more monsters! We made one in nearly every cupcake liner color we had because they’re so much fun.
