Nature Stick Fingerprint Fall Tree Craft

With many nature projects, part of the enjoyment comes from going outdoors and collecting the required supplies. Here, those supplies are sticks. What child doesn’t enjoy playing with sticks?

After collecting a small bundle of sticks, turn the gathering into a game if you like. Next, arrange everything on cardstock to create a tree. Complete the project with adorable fingerprint leaves in beautiful autumn shades.

Fingerprint Fall Tree Nature Stick Craft

To create our fingerprint fall tree, you’ll need sticks or twigs gathered outdoors, along with clear Elmer’s glue and white cardstock.

For the foliage, we chose ink pads in autumn colors. This made it much simpler to set everything out and let the children work independently. Acrylic paint is also an option.

Fall Tree Fingerprint Craft Supplies Needed

  • Twigs or sticks collected outdoors
  • Clear Elmer’s glue
  • Fingerprint ink pads – autumn colors
  • White cardstock

Nature Fall Tree Craft Step by Step Directions

Begin by heading outside to collect a few sticks or twigs!

Next, attach the sticks to the cardstock paper with glue, arranging them to resemble a tree.

Put it aside and let it dry.

After the glue has dried, collect ink pads in various fall colors.

Use the ink pads to create fingerprints around the tree as leaves. (Have the child wipe their finger clean when changing colors so the shades don’t mix on the ink pads.)

Keep adding fingerprint leaves until the tree has the desired fullness. Allow the ink to dry thoroughly.

Finally, display your lovely work of art!
