- Popsicle mold and sticks (if your mold requires them)
- Whisk
- Large mixing bowl
- Large spoon
- Large pot (for placing the mold in warm water)
- Ziploc bag

Can I substitute whole milk for half-and-half?
Yes, whole milk works, although it will produce a popsicle that is icier and not as creamy.
Which other milk alternatives can I use?
We have not tried this recipe with alternative milks, though almond or coconut milk could serve as replacements. These options will result in icier popsicles.
What exactly is half and half?
Half and half is a cream product made from equal parts whole milk and cream. When it is unavailable, combine equal amounts of whole milk and full cream to prepare your own.

-
Add the Jello chocolate pudding mix and half-and-half to a large bowl.
-
Whisk everything until the mixture is silky and has thickened into pudding.
-
Open the Ziploc bag, transfer all the pudding inside, and close the seal.
-
Snip off one corner of the Ziploc bag to create a piping bag. Squeeze the mixture into each popsicle mold cavity, leaving some space at the top so it will not overflow as it freezes.
-
Cover the popsicle mold with its lid, then place the sticks halfway into the openings. Put the popsicles in the freezer for 8 hours or leave them there overnight.
-
To removethe frozen treats from the mold, place warm water in a large pot and immerse the lower section of the mold for roughly 30 seconds. This helps release the frozen popsicles from the mold. Tip: Avoid moving the popsicle stick from side to side when removing the popsicle, as this may loosen the stick and cause it to come out completely. If necessary, gently spread the mold’s sides apart.
-
Keep the popsicles in a freezer bag or enjoy them right away. Savor!
