RELATED: DAD Doodle Cards

Give Dad a delightful BBQ card for Father’s Day! It opens so you can add your own thoughtful message on the inside as well!
A free printable template can be found at the end of the post!

Add a fun message inside the card, such as “Dad, You’re King of the Grill!” or “Happy Father’s Day BBQ King!”

This craft is very easy to assemble because we’ve provided a free template. The template is available at the end of the post.
Materials Required for a BBQ Card
- Cardstock in assorted colors – we chose grey, black and white.
- Black Marker
- Glue – Use ordinary glue or a glue stick. Since everything is made from paper, I prefer a glue stick for the paper and a stronger adhesive for the googly eyes.
- Large Googly Eyes
- BBQ Card template – the FREE template is available at the end of the post.

How to Create a BBQ Grill Card
1. Print the free template, found at the end of the post, and trace each piece onto your cardstock.
For the legs, we selected grey; for the wheel, black and white; and for the BBQ top, black.

2. Assemble the leg sections by placing the shorter piece between the two longer pieces and gluing them together.

3. Join the two circular wheel pieces with glue, then attach them to one of the legs.

4. Trim an additional paper strip to match the bottom of the grill, then glue it onto the top of this section.
Note: This strip is not included in the template. It is simply a small straight line, so use the lower black BBQ piece as a guide to create a similar-sized strip.

5. Attach the black handle with glue to the top of the BBQ.

6. Place two large googly eyes on the top of the BBQ.

7. On white cardstock, cut out the card’s center section using the rectangle template on page 2. Alternatively, print it straight onto white cardstock and cut it out.
Create four equal folds using an accordion-fold technique.

8. In the center two folded sections of the white paper, write your personal message inside the card.

9. Secure the upper and lower folded sections of the white cardstock to the upper and lower black BBQ oqaatig
parts.

Your card is now ready to hand to Dad! When he opens the BBQ and discovers the special message inside, he’ll be delighted.
