We enjoy all kinds of adorable messages for dad or grandpa, so our collection of Father’s Day crafts includes various card ideas, ranging from “Dad, you are one in a melon!” to “I’m hooked on you, dad!“.

How to create a Father’s Day handprint rocket card

First, fold a sheet of cardstock in half. Set your child’s left hand beside the folded edge and outline it using a pencil.

Trim out the handprint card, then fold it down the middle.

On cardstock in another color, draw three triangles: one for the top of the handprint card and two matching triangles for its sides. Attach all three triangles to the back of the folded card with glue.

With a round item as a guide, draw two or three circles on cardstock in a third color. Cut them out and adhere them to the front of the card.

Punch several holes along the bottom of the rocket.

Prepare yarn pieces that are all the same length. Bend each piece in half and push the folded section through a card hole to create a loop.

Pass the loose ends of the yarn through the loop, then tug firmly to fasten it to the card.

Continue the same process with the remaining holes.

Write this message inside the card with a black marker: Dad / Grandpa, I love you to the moon and back!
