These apple-decorated flowerpot presents are simple to create, and teachers are sure to appreciate them. I made mine as an end-of-the-school-year gift, although they would also work wonderfully for Teacher Appreciation Week. However, our school changed its policy a few years ago. Parents can now contribute money or gift cards for Teacher Appreciation Week, which are distributed among the teachers and the rest of the school staff.

Steps for creating an apple-painted flowerpot gift
First, use a pencil to draw the outline of an apple on the clay pot.
Then, apply craft paint to the apple, its stem, and the leaf.
Allow the paint to dry fully before painting the remaining portion of the clay pot.
We chose two shades for the terracotta pot so that the rim would stand out in another color. Afterward, I dipped the tip of the pencil in paint and added polka dots around the rim.
After everything has dried, outline the apple with a black marker if desired.
Should you plan to apply a sealer afterward, leave out the black-marker outline, since the marker may run when it comes into contact with the sealer, as shown in the image below.
