If you have been keeping up with Red Ted Art during the past few weeks, you will know that we have put together an entirely new collection of simple Popsicle Stick Christmas Crafts for children of every age. We had been collecting our ice lolly sticks throughout the summer, and now it was TIME to turn them into fun Craft Stick Crafts for the festive season.
CREATE POPSICLE STICK CHRISTMAS CRAFTS

Come along as we make red-nosed reindeer ornaments, angels, sleighs and snowmen.. and discover our assortment of charming (and simple!) Popsicle Stick crafts for children.
Handprint Popsicle Stick Crafts
This handprint and popsicle stick Christmas craft combination will be especially enjoyable for toddlers and preschoolers. We have three different designs for you to explore. They create lovely keepsakes as well as festive decorations. They are ideal for putting on the fridge during the holiday season.. or why not make several and transform them into a DIY holiday garland? Adorable!

Handprint & Popsicle Stick Angels
A sweet Angel Craft is always a favourite at Christmas, and this Handprint Angel is one of ours. Handprints create wonderful keepsakes to treasure.. and it is amazing how fast toddlers grow (until their hands become too large!!!). So create these together and give them to grandparents this holiday season.

Handprint Reindeers
Naturally, our collection must include a little Popsicle Stick Rudolph. After all, reindeer crafts become wonderfully charming ornaments and presents for family members at Christmas. Especially when they feature a fantastic pom pom nose!

Handprint Gnomes
Did you know that handprints make excellent gnome beards?! Pair them with a pointed triangle popsicle stick hat.. and you have a delightful Handprint Christmas Gnome!

Santa hat homemade christmas ornament
Since we are discussing “popsicle stick triangle crafts”.. let’s include this wonderfully easy and adorable popsicle stick santa hat homemade christmas ornament from Buggy & Buddy. Its simplicity makes it truly charming!
Craft Stick Star Ornaments

Classic Craft Stick Stars
Popsicle stick star ornaments are certainly essential! You can create this traditional recycled ornament craft in countless ways and customise it for yourself and your family. To begin, select the colours for your craft stick stars. Keep them looking natural or paint them in every shade of the rainbow. After that, decorate them.. will you use buttons, pom poms or sequens? Could you wrap the star with yarn or leave it plain. There are so many possibilities!! Simply explore your craft box and see which supplies you can use…

Craft Stick Nativity Star
If you feel like adding an extra touch, revisit the nativity scene and transform your craft stick star into a Nativity Star, including a very simple Baby Jesus in a manger. Once again, there is lots of opportunity to make it your own. Will your nativity star be painted yellow? Will you cover it with yarn? Or will you keep the design straightforward and highlight your paper Baby Jesus (created from very simple shapes, making it easy for everyone to try!).

Popsicle Stick Star Santa
Well.. isn’t this Craft Stick Santa adorable?! He is such an enjoyable Christmas Tree Ornament to create. I think children would also love making him as a small keepsake present! Our little Santa Star ornament only needs a ribbon so it can be hung.

Craft Stick Snowman Ornament
And one more.. yes, we also have a little Snowman Star Ornament – these would look wonderful all through the Christmas Season, and they are also perfect for winter crafting in January!

Button Popsicle Stick Snowflake Ornaments
Craft sticks, also known as popsicle sticks, are excellent for making snowflakes as well. This is a fantastic recycled popsicle stick ornament to create with children! We saved ice lolly sticks from the summer. I attached the snowflake shape together (back then, we did not own a hot glue gun.. so I used PVA glue the previous day). The children painted the simple popsicle stick snowflake white, and afterwards we decorated it with recycled buttons tothem. Absolutely charming.

Craft Stick Christmas Tree Decoration
You can create Craft Stick Christmas Tree Ornaments in many different ways. Fireflies and Mud Pies tried making triangular Christmas Trees, which would fit perfectly in my popsicle triangle collection above! Or…

Craft Stick & Pipe Cleaner Tree Ornament
At last, here is likely the easiest of all popsicle stick Christmas Tree Ornaments… use a Craft Stick for the tree trunk and pipe cleaners for the branches, attach a loop of baker’s twine, and you’ve made a simple Christmas Tree ornament! All that remains is adding colorful pony beads, and you’re finished. TOO CUTE! Plus, your preschooler can practice fine motor skills while making it.

Popsicle Stick Sled Ornaments
If you are enthusiastic about sledding, you absolutely HAVE to create these wonderfully charming popsicle stick sleds from Clean & Scentsible! They are such a brilliant holiday-season project. The craft stick sleds are ADORABLE and provide an ideal way to use craft sticks as “wooden slats.” They make perfect Christmas Tree Ornaments and would also look lovely on gift wrap. Popsicle Stick Gingerbread House
The Printables Fairy offers another delightful idea for those craft stick slats… build a tiny Gingerbread House. How adorable is that? You could set it beside a fairy door, or let your Elf on the Shelf appear “via” this charming little house! She provides “sticker” printables that help transform your craft stick house into a wonderfully colorful Gingerbread House. They make lovely decorations for the Christmas season!

Craft Stick Christmas Window
Little Bins for Little Hands demonstrates how to create an especially cute and simple Craft Stick Christmas Window! As you know, I really enjoy basic shapes, and this project makes wonderful use of squares and triangles. I also adore the plaid background design. It is ideal for the holidays!

How adorable is this group of Nutcracker ballet characters? Use craft sticks to make the Mouse King, the ballerina, and a Nutcracker! Find the complete details at Steam Sensational!

Popsicle Stick Snowman Project
Finally, Artsy Craftsy Mom shares some fantastic little popsicle stick snowmen to create! They would be a cheerful way to decorate indoor plants throughout the holiday and winter months, or you could attach them to gifts as tags. Either option is fun, simple, and easy to make.
As a final thought… remember that popsicle sticks pair wonderfully with other crafts—for instance…

…our small popsicle stick elf would have a much harder time “popping up” without the handy craft stick that makes the pop-up mechanism function. And by the way… this is a FREE Christmas Printable. Isn’t it adorable?
