When is Mothering Sunday/ Mother’s Day?

The date varies depending on your location. In the UK, it is strongly connected with Easter and always falls “half way through lent, or the third Sunday of Lent. This year, Mother’s Day takes place on the 19th March 2023.

In most other parts of the world, Mother’s Day is observed on the second Sunday in May. Therefore, this year it falls on the 14th May 2023.

(Interestingly, we all mark Father’s Day on the 3rd Sunday in June.. except Australia, where it is celebrated in September!).
