“Turkey Season” and everything related to Thanksgiving are quickly drawing near. There are countless wonderful Thanksgiving crafts and activities available, but today, I thought I would highlight the Thanksgiving Turkey for you! Gobble gobble. Turkeys make an excellent craft subject for children during Thanksgiving, and there are plenty of different turkey crafts to pick from.
I especially enjoy the projects that combine the humble turkey with a little thankfulness or extra learning opportunities. So, set aside a crafty morning, try some of these easy project ideas, and create your own turkeys!
Children will adore them.. whether you are working with coffee filters or creating an orange turkey, be sure to take a look at these incredibly cute turkey crafts for kids.

Turkey Crafts Including Templates

This Cardboard Turkey Craft is fantastic! It is not only incredibly cute, bright and enjoyable (and, naturally, EASY too!!), but it also includes a free, straightforward template. I love that it is an ideal project for using up the “odds and ends” in your craft box as well!
Printable Turkey Cones – these work brilliantly as party hats, toys, or place settings! Make them simple or more elaborate (just a cone, or a cone decorated with feathers and a hat!). The choice is yours!

Can I Create a Turkey Using Paper or Construction Paper?
Absolutely! Some of the best projects use paper, and they are incredibly enjoyable. A few of the ideas above only need printer paper.. however, here are some additional paper turkey crafts for children to make:
Adorable and simple Turkey Corner Bookmark – it slips over the corner of your book and helps mark your place! Be sure to try this paper craft!
This paper turkey finger puppet is super fast and easy to make (and exceptionally cute)! Isn’t it entertaining? Those wild googly eyes are fantastic!!! Your turkey puppets are ready!
Enjoy blot painting, paper plates, and turkeys together. Make these colorful paper plate turkeys with preschool children. Simply precious!
Along the same lines.. aren’t these Coffee Filter Turkeys adorable?! They are delightful and extremely easy to make too!
How about making a lovely Handprint Turkey Craft? Beautiful! I adore this as a small keepsake, and it is an excellent way to reuse some popsicle sticks from summer. Jumbo Craft sticks may be an even better option, though!

Check out these fantastic “Thankfulness” Turkey PLACEMAT printables. They are a brilliant way to keep children relaxed and occupied! The bright turkey feathers are lovely, and I especially like that it doubles as a gratitude turkey. However, I would choose pens instead of crayons for this activity!

To finish, here is a TP Roll Turkey Craft that makes wonderfully clever use of paint chip cards! Simply add a basic triangular beak and some tissue paper, then you are ready to go! It makes a wonderful Kindergarten activity!

As you know, we are HUGE fans of recycling and staying eco friendly, particularly when making crafts with children, who can become rather “prolific” crafters from time to time… These projects are therefore inexpensive and wonderfully eco friendly!
