Brighten the day of the best dad you know with this incredibly fun Father’s Day Magic Flashlight Card! I’m thrilled about this Father’s Day project, and I’m sure dads everywhere will love it, too! We’ve also added a Free Printable Flashlight Template.
There are so many reasons to enjoy this magic flashlight craft. Turn it into a superhero project, create a seek-and-find activity, or simply share a Happy Father’s Day greeting in a wonderfully original way.
Create a Magic Flashlight Craft for Dad
To create our Father’s Day Magic Flashlight Card, begin by getting our flashlight template. You’ll also need quart size ziploc baggies, cardstock in black, yellow, and any color you prefer for the flashlight.
For the remaining materials, gather a black sharpie, scissors, and a glue stick.
Supplies Needed for the Father’s Day Magic Flashlight Craft
- Flashlight template
- Quart size Ziploc baggies
- Cardstock – black, yellow, and assorted colors
- Black sharpie
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Step-by-Step Directions for the Magic Flashlight Card
Start with one complete sheet of black cardstock.
Place the black cardstock over the ziploc baggie to determine the size, then trim it to fit.
Slide the black cardstock into the baggie.
Use your marker to create a Happy Father’s Day design on the front of the baggie. If your baggie is similar to mine and includes a label, make that side the back. It’s a perfect spot to write the year and the child’s age for keepsake purposes.
After that, cut out all the pieces from the flashlight template. You’ll need two flashlight shapes in the color you selected. Use yellow cardstock for the light.
Attach the light to the inside of one flashlight piece with glue.
Next, adhere the second flashlight piece to the back.
Use the black marker to draw details on the flashlight.
Finally, slide the flashlight into the baggie above the black card so your Happy Father’s Day message becomes visible!
