Candy
- Halloween Scavenger Hunt – send children on a hunt throughout the house to discover a grand prize at the end or treats along the route. Free printable scavenger hunt clue cards are available HERE.
- Halloween Piñata – make a piñata yourself or purchase one, then pack it with Halloween sweets.
- Easter Egg Halloween Hunt – place goodies inside Easter eggs. Select purple and orange eggs to match Halloween’s colors.
- Glow in the Dark Candy Hunt – this activity works both inside and outside. Hide treats around the house with glow sticks, and let children search for them using flashlights.
- Guess How Many Candy Corn in a Jar – fill a jar with candy corn or another Halloween treat, then have the kids estimate how many pieces it contains.
- Candy in Balloons to Pop – place sweets inside balloons for children to burst. Choose orange balloons and adorn them with pumpkin faces.
- Create A Poke-a-Pumpkin Game – fill cups with candy, cover the tops with orange tissue paper, and glue the cups together into a pumpkin shape. Children can poke the cups to discover the prizes hidden inside!

- Graham Cracker Haunted House – build a homemade edible haunted house with graham crackers and icing.
- Fizzy Cauldrons – put baking soda and green food dye into small cauldrons. Children can use droppers or squeeze bottles to add vinegar and create bubbling cauldrons.

- Put the Nose on the Pumpkin
- Toilet Paper & Pumpkin Bowling – use full toilet paper rolls and add pumpkin or ghost faces. To create pumpkins, cover them with tissue paper. You could also make toilet paper roll Halloween characters. Then bowl using a pumpkin!
- Play Frankie Says (Halloween Simon Says) – this is a Halloween twist on traditional Simon Says. Replace “Simon says” with “Frankie Says” and choose spooky actions, such as howling like a werewolf.
- Slimy Food Guessing Game – use grapes as eyeballs, spaghetti as witch hair or worms, sliced almonds as fingernails, corn as teeth, and a damp sponge as a brain. Let children guess what each item is by placing them in a box and having the kids reach inside to feel them without looking.
- Toss Plastic Spiders into Pumpkin Buckets
- Donuts on a String Game – suspend donuts from the ceiling using string. Have children compete to see who can finish their donut first without using their hands.
- Witch’s Broom Limbo – grab a broom and enjoy a round of limbo!
- Toilet Paper Wrapped Mummy Contest – use toilet paper to wrap someone up like a mummy, and see who can do it the quickest.
- Bean Bag Toss – make a Halloween monster or pumpkin from cardboard and create a target for tossing bean bags into.
