Jello Popsicle Instructions
Both Kool-Aid and Jello go into these bright popsicles, creating a playful fruity flavor. The Jello additionally helps prevent them from melting and dripping as quickly while you enjoy them!

Required Ingredients
- ½ teaspoon of Kool-Aid (Cherry, Grape, Lemon-Lime, Orange, Lemonade) – or replace it with a different flavor of powdered drink mix

Necessary Supplies
- Large Pot (for placing the popsicle mold underneath)
- Bowls (optional, for any extra Jello mixture)

How many popsicles does one box of Jello make?
A standard 3oz box of Jello yields 5 popsicles in one flavor. To prepare 10 popsicles with the same flavor, double everything: use 2 Jello packages, 2 cups of boiling water, and 2 cups of chilled water. When doubling the ingredients, the full Kool-Aid packet may be added.
Is it okay to add the whole Kool-Aid packet to the popsicles?
We advise against doing so. The popsicles will become tart and need additional sugar to balance the sour flavor. If you want to use the complete packet, double the recipe to produce 10 popsicles.
What causes my popsicles to become hard and icy?
The temperature in your freezer may be set too cold. Adjust the freezer controls, or allow the popsicles to rest at room temperature for a few minutes before serving.

-
Heat one cup of water until it reaches a boil.
-
Add one flavor of Jello powder along with ½ teaspoon of Kool-Aid in the matching flavor. For instance, combine Cherry Jello with Cherry Kool-Aid. Different flavor pairings can also be tried, though the resulting colors might become brown.
-
After the Jello and Kool-Aid fully dissolve in the hot water, pour in the cold water and mix until well combined.
-
Repeat these steps for each additional flavor you want to prepare. Every batch produces 5 popsicles.
-
Transfer the mixture from the saucepan into a measuringcup with a pour spout – it allows you to transfer the mixture into the popsicle mold cavities with greater ease. Add approximately 1/2 cup of liquid to every popsicle mold cavity.
-
After placing the lid on the popsicle mold, insert the sticks halfway into the molds. Freeze for 6 hours or leave overnight, as necessary.
-
When the popsicles have fully frozen and are ready to serve, pour warm water into a large pot until it is halfway full, then immerse the bottom of the popsicle mold for 30 seconds. This should loosen the popsicles and allow them to come out of the mold more easily.

Removing the popsicles: place the bottom of the popsicle mold in warm water for 30 seconds. Next, carefully lift the popsicles upward. Should one remain stuck, gently separate each side of its individual cavity in the popsicle mold. This can loosen them further.
