We designed this paper flower bouquet as a simple project for celebrating moms and grandmas on Mother’s Day. However, it can also be made for any meaningful occasion, such as the birthday of someone special in your child’s life, an aunt, or a teacher.
This paper flower bouquet makes a lovely addition to our collection of flower crafts. Over the years, we have made many different flowers, including this lovely footprint flower card and this well-loved handprint flower bouquet.
Although I prepared a template for this project, it isn’t necessary to use one. Three circles are used to create each flower. With a black marker, you can draw a unique design on every circle to give each flower its own appearance.
When using our template, feel free to select any three shades for the flowers. The vase can be customized in the same way. We chose gray because it is neutral and would not draw focus away from the lovely flowers.
A short note can be added beside the vase or on the back of the white paper. This lets children personalize the project for their mom or grandma. If they are not old enough to write yet, they can simply add their names.
Materials:
- Flower bouquet pattern
- Craft paper: green, gray, plus three additional colors of your choice
- White cardstock
- Adhesive
- Pair of scissors
Steps for creating the paper flower bouquet craft
Begin
by printing the leaves and stems onto green paper, the vase onto gray paper, and the
three flower circles onto three separate colors of your choosing.
Each
flower consists of three circles: a large one, a medium one, and a small one.
Layer
the three circles together with glue, placing the smallest circle first.
Attach
the three flower stems to the rear of the vase with glue.
Place
the vase along the bottom edge of the white cardstock.
Secure
the leaves to the stems with glue.
Finish
by attaching the flowers to the ends of the stems.
