Valentine’s Day Treasure Hunt for Kids
Kids will have a wonderful time taking part in this Valentine’s Day treasure hunt!
Don’t have a printer? You can simply copy the clues onto paper yourself! Decorate them with stickers or personal drawings.
The clue cards are printed across 2 pages, with 12 clues altogether.

Every card is numbered to show you the proper sequence, although you are welcome to rearrange them.
Only the first and last clues are essential. Feel free to shuffle the others however you like!
To extend the activity, you can insert additional clues before the final one.
Each of these clues leads to an indoor location. They are also simple enough for children to complete, though younger kids may need some assistance.
The clues are intentionally flexible, allowing you to make some more challenging if desired. For instance, the card shown below could go beneath the bed; for a slightly tougher hiding place, tuck it under a pillow or beneath the blankets.
You may attach a small reward to every clue card and still offer a prize at the end, or save the reward for the finale. Whichever option you choose, children will enjoy this treasure hunt!
How to Prepare the Valentine’s Day Treasure Hunt
Begin by printing the clue cards (the card link is provided below)
- Start by hiding the 2nd clue near their shoes.
- For the following clue, substitute a sweater if you do not have a jacket.
- For Clue #10, place it on a chair close to the remote. Without a chair, you can put this card in the dining room instead.
- Keep concealing each clue card according to the hints from the previous clue until only the final one remains.
- For the final reward, place it inside a closet.
- To lengthen the treasure hunt, add your own extra cards before the last clue.
- Once everything is ready, give the first clue to your children to begin.
