Yarn Lacing Easter Bunny Tail Craft
For this yarn lacing bunny tail, gather our bunny silhouette, cardstock in various colors, yarn in assorted shades, a single-hole punch, tape, scissors, and a glue stick.
Supplies for the Easter Bunny Tail Yarn Craft
- Bunny Silhouette
- Cardstock – various colors
- Yarn – various colors
- Single-hole punch
- Scissors
- Tape
- Glue stick
Step-by-Step Directions for the Bunny Tail Yarn Lacing Craft
First, print the bunny silhouette.
Next, trim out the silhouette.
The silhouette may be glued directly onto the cardstock color you choose, or you can trace it onto black cardstock before gluing. We chose black cardstock. Position and glue it slightly off-center, closer to the left side of the paper.
Next, sketch a circle where the bunny’s tail will be, or cut one freehand. In either case, an adult should carefully poke a pair of scissors into the tail area and cut out the circle. Make it approximately 2” wide.
After that, place the hole punch inside the circle and start creating holes around its edge.
Be careful to keep the holes a little distance from the edge.
Now, cut a lengthy piece of yarn in the color you prefer. Put one end through a hole and secure it to the back with tape. Wrapping the opposite end with a small piece of tape will also make threading it through the holes easier.
Begin threading the yarn through the holes. For a fuller, fluffier tail, pass the yarn through the holes several times.
Once complete, secure the remaining yarn end to the back of the cardstock with tape.

Notes
Secure the end of the yarn you’ll be threading with tape. This makes it simpler to repeatedly pull it through the holes without causing it to fray.
