Use this 10 Reasons I Love My Mom booklet to show Mom how deeply you appreciate her. It is an ideal Mother’s Day classroom activity to create and send home to moms. Naturally, it can be made at home as well. Perhaps Grandma would like to surprise Mom by making this booklet together with her grandchildren.
I enjoy getting these little booklets that my children create at school. Usually, they were simply sheets of paper listing why my kids love Mom or describing all about her. I think they are adorable and amusing, so I save every one.
Since I enjoy crafting and combining different elements, such as with this color and craft insects project, I decided to turn the booklet into a craft. It becomes a lovely flowerpot project, featuring one flower for each word in “Reasons I love my mom”.
My 10 reasons I love my mom booklet includes a template with plenty of choices. You can print the flowers on colored paper, print them on white paper for children to decorate, and select either Mom or Mum.
Each reason also includes two versions. Younger children, such as preschoolers, can draw a small picture as well as write, whereas older children may simply record their reasons.

How to create the Mother’s Day booklet and craft
Print the flowerpot and flowers onto cardstock. Select whichever colors you prefer.
Alternatively, print the flowers on white paper and color them.
Print the “reason pots” onto white paper.
Select the “reason pots” that include a drawing box or the ones without one.
Begin by folding each of the 10 “reason pots” along the lower edge of the gray section. Turn the “reason pots” face down, then fold the gray section downward.
Open the paper and turn it to the other side. Next, fold the gray section downward.
Fold the flowerpot using the same method as for the “reason pots”. Crease it along the line dividing the upper and lower parts of the flowerpot.
Spread glue over the gray section of “reason pot 1” and tuck it beneath “reason pot 2”. Continue with the remaining pieces until all the “reason pots” are joined together, with number 10 at the top. Attach the reason booklet to the back of the flowerpot. Be certain that the booklet’s bottom edge matches the flowerpot’s bottom edge.
Attach the MY and MOM flowers to the top of the flowerpot.
Place the WHY, I, and LOVE flowers above the other two flowers.
Another option is to attach the LOVE, MY, and MOM flowers at the bottom, with WHY and I positioned at the top.
