Cardboard Roll Chick Craft Step by Step Directions
Start with an empty toilet paper sized cardboard tube.
Cover the cardboard roll with yellow paint, then allow it to dry thoroughly.
Once the paint has dried, divide the roll into two pieces. A single cardboard roll creates two tiny chicks.
Next, collect the pipe cleaners. We were able to complete it with only one pipe cleaner, but using two per chick makes the process simpler. If you’re using 2 pipe cleaners, divide each one in half.
Take one half of a pipe cleaner and shape it into a w.
Bring the two ends together and twist them.
Secure this pipe cleaner piece to the top of the cardboard roll with tape.
After that, shape one of the remaining pipe cleaners into an m.
Twist the ends together, then repeat the process with the other pipe cleaner.
Next, make a slit on each opposite side of the cardboard roll, approximately halfway from the top.
Push the m-shaped pipe cleaner into one of the openings.
Do the same on the opposite side.
Then, attach the googly eyes with glue.
To finish, cut a tiny triangle from the orange cardstock and glue it below the googly eyes to create the beak.
What an adorable little chick project!
