Step-by-Step Directions for Mother’s Day Crayon Resist Bookmarks
Start by slicing one sheet of white cardstock in half. Cut each half in half once more, creating 4 strips.
Next, draw any design you wish for mom using the white crayon.
After finishing the design, bring out the watercolors and start decorating the bookmark.
The white crayon will remain visible as you brush on the paint.
Allow the paint to dry all the way.
After the paint has dried thoroughly, punch one hole near one end of the bookmark.
Next, cut a lengthy piece of yarn.
Fold the yarn in half, then fold it in half once more. Twist the strands together to make threading the hole simpler, then push them through the opening.
Slide your fingers through the yarn loops.
Pull the opposite yarn ends through the loops and softly tug until the yarn is secure against the bookmark.
To finish, cut away any extra yarn.
Your thoughtful bookmark for mom is complete, ready to be enjoyed with every page she turns.
