Earth Day offers an excellent opportunity to teach children why caring for our planet matters. This Earth flower craft is a playful way to show that we should all do what we can to protect Earth. Recycling is one helpful action, which is why the Earth flower sits in a flowerpot decorated with the recycling symbol.
If you are looking for additional ways children and their families can care for Earth, I suggest exploring this happy Earth sad Earth activity – it is suitable for preschoolers as well as older children. Kids will sort different actions and decide whether they are beneficial or harmful to our planet, such as planting a new tree.
Additional Earth Day crafts for children:
The Earth flower project includes a simple template. Since the recycling symbol on the flowerpot might be somewhat difficult for little hands to cut out, I have added another flowerpot design that children can decorate with colors.
