This Mother’s Day project is incredibly simple to assemble, requiring little more than cardstock in several colors and those sweet handprints. The result is a beautiful floral craft any mother will adore.

For our handprint flower project, gather cardstock in green, a skin tone, and several other colors, along with scissors and a glue stick. That’s everything you need! So simple!

Mother’s Day Flower Craft Step by Step Directions
First, select the colors of cardstock you’d like to use. Choose one sheet for the background, along with the shades you want for the flowers. Be sure to include a skin tone sheet as well.
Next, outline your hand on the cardstock colors selected for the blossoms. Plan to make at least 3 flowers. You’re welcome to create more, though we decided not to fill the page too much.
Carefully cut out each handprint. We made 6 handprints altogether since we hadn’t decided which flower colors to use. Having extras also made it simple to create another bouquet later.
In addition, trace and cut out two handprints from the skin tone cardstock.
After that, attach the flower handprints near the upper portion of the background cardstock. We selected a very pale silver shade for the background so the flowers would stand out.
Once the flowers are secured, cut stems and uncomplicated leaves from the green cardstock. Adhere them beneath the blossoms, allowing the stems to meet near the bottom of the sheet.
Finally, position and glue the skin tone handprints so they look as though they are grasping the flower stems. You may also decorate the stems with a few additional leaves.

Instructions
- Start by selecting your cardstock shades. You’ll need one sheet for the background, several colors for the flowers, and a skin tone sheet.
- Then, trace your hand onto the cardstock colors chosen for the flowers. Make at least 3 flowers, or as many as you like without overcrowding the page.
- Carefully trim out all the handprints.
- Next, trace and cut out two handprints from the skin tone cardstock.
- Glue the flower handprint shapes near the top of the background cardstock. We used a very light silver shade to help the flowers stand out.
- After attaching the flowers, cut stems and basic leaves from green cardstock. Glue them underneath, bringing the stems together toward the bottom of the page.
- To finish, attach the skin tone handprints so they look like they are holding the flower stems.
- You can now add a few extra leaves along the stems if desired.
