This Handprint Turkey Craft is much more than an ordinary handprint project. It combines the handprints of mom, dad, and child to create the sweetest Thanksgiving keepsake. You could also layer the grandparents’ handprints with the little one’s. This craft celebrates multiple generations and creates a handprint keepsake to treasure for many years.

Thanksgiving Keepsake Turkey Handprint Craft
Before beginning our handprint turkey craft, print the turkey template.
Gather brown, red, orange, and yellow cardstock, clothespins, scissors, and a glue stick as well.
Handprint Turkey Craft Supplies Needed
- Turkey Template
- Cardstock – brown, red, orange, yellow
- Wooden clothespins
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Turkey Craft Step by Step Directions
Begin by printing the turkey template, then cut out each piece.
Trace the body shapes onto brown cardstock and cut them out. Cut a yellow beak, leaving the eye unchanged.
Next, trace and cut every handprint you will need. You will need three different-sized handprints, with each one made from a different autumn-colored cardstock. Use mom, dad, and child; grandparents and child; siblings; or an aunt, uncle, and child. Arrange your keepsake turkey craft in whichever way you prefer.
Once that is done, place and glue the medium handprint pattern over the largest handprint.
Afterward, attach the smallest handprint pattern on top of the medium-sized handprint.
Then, glue the template’s oval piece to the lower section of the handprints.
Position the turkey’s head above the thumbs and glue it in place.
Attach the turkey’s eye to its head.
Next, adhere the beak to the turkey. We also cut out a red raindrop-shaped piece for the wattle.
