Mom Mug Fingerprint Flowers Craft

When you’re not old enough to buy mom diamonds for Mother’s Day, you can create our Mom Mug Fingerprint Flowers Craft for her! This homemade present means far more than diamonds, truly priceless, since it’s crafted with those sweet little fingers.

We’ve also included a free printable Mom Mug Template for this project to make things simpler. Whenever my children ask what they should give me for a holiday, I always say they can simply get me a coffee mug. And I’m serious—I adore coffee mugs. That’s why I thought a coffee mug craft would be a perfect choice.

Fingerprint Flowers Mother’s Day Craft

To create our Mother’s Day fingerprint flowers, start by printing our mug template. The rest of the materials are cardstock in Mom’s preferred light shades, acrylic paint in pink, purple, yellow, and blue, green and black markers, scissors, and a glue stick.

Mom Mug Fingerprint Flowers Craft Supplies Needed

  • Mug Template
  • Cardstock – pale pink, pale purple
  • Acrylic paint – pink, purple, yellow, blue
  • Markers – green, black
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick

Fingerprint Flowers Mug Craft Step by Step Directions

Start by selecting the background shade for this Mother’s Day project.

With a green marker, sketch a few initial stems. Position the lines near the top of the page, pointing toward the middle. Additional stems will be added afterward. These first lines simply create a guide for placing the flowers.

Collect the paints you plan to use and place small portions onto a paper plate or palette.

Next, dip one finger into the paint.

Press your finger 5 times in a circular arrangement to form the flower’s 5 petals.

Keep creating additional flowers with your fingers, using a variety of colors.

Continue adding flowers until your mug design looks full enough. Allow the paint to dry thoroughly.

While the paint dries, print the mug designs and cut them out.

Use the black marker to write mom or add your preferred design to the mug’s front.

Add additional stems with the green marker.

After that, attach the handle to the mug with glue, then secure the mug directly beneath the flowers.

What a lovely craft! We hope your mom enjoys it just as much as this mom does.
