For an enjoyable indoor New Year’s Eve activity, give this easy New Year’s Eve Bingo game a try. It works wonderfully at a New Year’s Eve celebration with as many as 30 players. You can also enjoy it online through a video conferencing platform, allowing children to connect with distant relatives or friends.

A complete sheet of calling cards is included with the printable. Snip them apart and put them into a jar for drawing, or select the pictures randomly.
Supplies Needed for New Years Bingo
- White Paper or Cardstock
- Bingo Markers – check the marker ideas recommended below
- Optional – Self Laminating Sheets
- To preserve your bingo cards for use year after year, laminating them is a good idea.
- If you choose not to laminate the cards and print them in black and white, Do-A-Dot Markers work especially well for this activity.
Bingo Marker Options
- Candy Options: Hershey Kisses (gold or silver), M&M’s
- Non-Candy Options: Pom Poms, Buttons, or Confetti
- Pencil or Markers: Children can mark the spaces with a marker or dot marker
How to Set-Up New Year’s Eve Bingo
Begin by printing the calling card and bingo cards (the free printable link is below).
- Trim out the calling cards and put them into a bowl or jar for drawing.
- Cut out each bingo card. Give one card to every player. When there are over 30 players, divide the children into small groups so they can play together.
- Choose candy or a non-candy object for the markers. Once an image is announced, the player covers that image with a marker.
- When announcing the images – either explain what the image shows or display the picture.
- Play for one line (5 spaces in a row) or for a complete card. The first player to complete a line calls out “Bingo!”. If you have extra prizes, continue the game for additional lines. Since there are 30 calling cards, completing a full card could lead to several players winning simultaneously, depending on the group size. For this reason, we suggest playing mainly for lines. Shuffle the cards and begin another round once a few lines are complete.
How Can I Play With More People?
The set includes 30 distinct cards. When playing with more than 30 people, divide everyone into smaller groups of 2-3 players. Another option is to distribute matching cards, which allows multiple players to win at once.
How to Print the Bingo Cards
Before printing, be sure to check the Print Preview. Because printers vary, choose “Print to Fit to Size” or find the printer’s Scale Features (printing at 90% scale is an option) in your settings to prevent the edges from being cut off.
