Paper Plate Earth Day Handprint Craft
For this adorable Earth Day handprint project, gather paper plates, tissue paper in blue and green, cardstock in red and skin tones, medium sized googly eyes, a black sharpie, glue, and scissors.

Paper Plate Earth Craft Step by Step Directions
To begin, collect one paper plate and blue and green tissue paper.
Snip the tissue paper into small squares.
Spread glue over the paper plate, then start placing the green squares in the areas representing land.
After covering the land with tissue paper, fill the remaining spaces with the blue tissue paper.
Once the glue has dried, attach the googly eyes. Then, use the black sharpie to gently draw a simple mouth.
Afterward, trace handprints onto skin toned cardstock.
Trim out the handprints, then cut two rectangular strips from the matching cardstock. From the red cardstock, cut out a heart too.
Attach the handprints to the ends of the strips with glue.
Next, secure the opposite ends of the strips to the back of the paper plate.
Let the glue become firm, then curve one handprint around and attach its fingers to the heart.
Finish by gluing the second hand to the heart as well.

Instructions
- Begin by collecting a paper plate, along with blue and green tissue paper. Then, slice the tissue paper into squares.
- Coat the paper plate with glue and start positioning the green squares over the land areas.
- After the land has been covered with tissue paper, place blue tissue paper over all the remaining sections.
- Allow the glue to dry before attaching the googly eyes.
- Then, use the black sharpie to draw a small, simple mouth.
- Next, trace two handprints onto skin toned cardstock.
- Cut out both handprints, followed by two rectangular strips made from the same cardstock.
- Also, cut a heart shape from the red cardstock.
- Glue each handprint onto one end of the strips.
- Secure the opposite ends of the strips to the rear of the paper plate.
- Once the glue sets, curve one handprint around and attach its fingers to the heart.
- Attach the other hand to the heart in the same way.
